49ers vs. Buccaneers line, odds and predictions: Our experts like San Francisco

The San Francisco 49ers ended a three-game losing streak last week and host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week. As you may expect, the Niners are big favorites against a Buccaneers team only a game back of the Saints in the NFC South.

Kickoff is set for 4:05 p.m. Sunday at Levi’s Stadium. FOX will air the game.

The 49ers’ impressive road win over the Jaguars last week has calmed the Niners fanbase down. San Francisco backers were out of sorts during the team’s three-game losing streak.

The Niners’ defense was key to them getting back on track. The 49ers allowed more than 200 yards of total offense and sacked the Jaguars five times. Christian McCaffrey lost his 17-game touchdown streak versus the Jaguars but outside of that, we saw vintage San Francisco in Jacksonville last week.

Tampa Bay is not on the level of San Francisco, but they are no pushovers. Tampa Bay still has one of the best defenses versus the run in the NFL. Opponents only average 87 yards rushing per game

The problem is Tampa Bay’s offense can’t move the football consistently. It averages 306 yards per game and scores just under 20 points per game.

The Buccaneers are 4-0 against the spread as road underdogs this season. Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers’ offensive line could have a tough time against this San Francisco defense.
