'I've never been so scared' - Footage showed Eddie Hearn being angrily confronted by Anthony Joshua'

Eddie Hearn has admitted that he was terrified when Anthony Joshua's dad confronted him after his son's defeat to Andy Ruiz.

On a famous June 2019 night in New York, AJ's undefeated boxing record came to a dramatic end as he was knocked out against the odds by his Mexican-American challenger.

Ruiz emerged victorious with the WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight world titles, but it was a night of catastrophe for Joshua as he was floored four times and stopped.

Immediately after the fight was finished, the investigation began into what went wrong for Britain's champion.

One of the most emotional people demanding answers was AJ's father, Robert Joshua.

Joshua Sr stormed into the ring and first questioned his son's trainer at the time Rob McCracken.

Then, when Ruiz was giving his post-fight interview, footage showed Joshua Sr confronting Hearn in the background.

AJ's father was clearly furious and escorted away by his son who pleaded with him to calm down.

Hearn, already devastated by Joshua's loss, looked stunned by the situation.

Four years on, when asked about his relationship with Joshua Sr, Hearn told GRM Daily: "It was just this one incident.
